BUILDING HAS NEVER BEEN EASIER
- Why a new building method?
Because conventional production methods often place unnecessary physical strain on workers’ shoulders, necks, and
arms.
We use ergonomic building methods.
It was about time, after 500 years of conventional construction and assembly methods.
- Why wood?
At Building From Above (BFA), we use timber because it combines low climate impact with high strength-to-weight performance and excellent building-physics properties. Timber is a renewable material, it stores carbon, and it is particularly well suited for high-precision prefabrication.
However, the choice of timber is only half of the answer.
The other half of the answer lies in how the material is used. We don´t treat timber as a mass material, but as a precisely engineered system of slender, optimized elements. By placing material only where it is structurally needed, we achieve lighter constructions, better ergonomics, faster assembly, and superior energy performance.
- Only good intentions or savings too?
Both of course, we save both long and short term.
You pay less for a beautiful house because working hours are shortened, but the construction company saves enormous sums when the workers stay healthy.
